Why We Chose the Name
“New Harvest Bible College”
The name New Harvest is deeply rooted in biblical theology, apostolic mission, and the present work of God in the earth. It reflects both continuity with Scripture and urgency in our generation.
1. The Biblical Foundation of the Harvest
Throughout Scripture, the concept of a harvest represents the gathering of souls into the kingdom of God.
Jesus declared:
“The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few…” (Luke 10:2)
The harvest is not merely agricultural imagery; it is evangelistic, eschatological, and redemptive. It speaks of:
- Souls ready to receive truth
- A divine timetable
- The necessity of laborers sent by God
From the Law and Prophets to the teachings of Christ, the harvest consistently symbolizes God’s gathering of His people.
2. The “New” in New Harvest
The word New carries powerful theological significance.
It reflects:
- New Covenant reality (Jeremiah 31:31; Luke 22:20)
- New birth (John 3:3–5)
- New creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- New outpouring of the Spirit (Acts 2; Joel 2:28)
We are not presenting a new gospel, but rather a fresh move of the same apostolic truth being revealed and received in this generation.
“New” speaks to:
- Renewal of apostolic doctrine
- Revival of spiritual authority
- Restoration of biblical identity
- A present-day move of God
3. Apostolic Urgency and End-Time Vision
The name reflects the conviction that we are living in a time of accelerated harvest.
Jesus said:
“Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John 4:35)
This is not a future reality alone, it is a present mandate.
New Harvest represents:
- A call to labor, not observe
- A mandate to disciple, not merely gather
- A burden for global evangelism
- A recognition of the nearness of God’s redemptive culmination
4. Identity and Mission
The name defines both who we are and what we are called to do.
New Harvest is:
- A place of preparation for laborers
- A training ground for apostolic ministry
- A center for biblical teaching and spiritual formation
- A catalyst for revival and outreach
We exist not just to educate, but to equip workers for the field.
5. A Name That Speaks Vision
“New Harvest” is not symbolic alone; it is declarative.
It proclaims:
- God is still moving
- Souls are still being gathered
- Truth is still transforming lives
- The field is still ready
And most importantly:
We are called to be laborers in that harvest.
